Highlands Homegrown Economy

Building a sustainable future for the Southern Highlands: an initiative connecting local people, businesses and projects to build a regenerative, locally driven economy.

About the project

Place-based economic innovation

The Highlands Homegrown Economy promotes regenerative economic practices that empower communities, restore ecosystems and build sustainable local economies.

A regenerative economy isn't just good for nature. By prioritising regenerative and circular approaches in the economic section of the Community Strategic Plan, we unlock new opportunities and industries, attract investment and create quality local jobs that build community wellbeing, resilience and environmental sustainability at the same time.
