Privacy policy
How WinZero handles your personal information.
In this policy, “we”, “us” and “WinZero” mean WinZero Incorporated (ABN 17 583 480 707), formerly CANWin Incorporated (INC9887626). We are committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information we collect through this website, our newsletter, memberships and donations, our events and our social media pages.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, and it doesn't ask you for any personal information directly. Like all websites, our hosting provider processes standard technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
The FOSSIL OFF! checklist remembers your ticks in your own browser (local storage). That information never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.
Videos are loaded from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service only when you choose to play them. YouTube's own privacy policy then applies.
What we collect, and why
- Newsletter: your email address (and name if you give it) to send you our newsletter. Subscriptions are managed by Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Membership and donations: payments are processed securely by Stripe. We receive your name, email and payment details needed to issue receipts and maintain our register of members, as required by our constitution. We never see or store your card number.
- Email and social media: if you contact us, we use your details to respond and keep a record of our correspondence.
- Events: we may collect names and contact details for event registration, and may take photos at public events. Let us know if you'd prefer not to be photographed.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate (such as Mailchimp, Stripe and our email and website hosts), some of which store data outside Australia, or where required by law.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, ask us to stop contacting you, or make a complaint about how we've handled your information, by emailing info@winzero.com.au. We'll respond promptly. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
